5 (more) things I've learnt about myself as an artist. 1. I love including humour in my work 2. Pretty sketchbooks are intimidating! Filling a cheap battered sketchbook feels much easier. 3. The best advice I've heard was to start where you are. Forget about looking at others and the comparison trap. Everyone is on a different journey. 4. I love ornate details. I'm constantly inspired by Victorian design. 5. Too much freedom can be oddly stifling. Parameters to work within or against seems to be the key to get the creative juices flowing for me.
