Balancing Creativity and Chaos in Art

Brainstorming is often seen as the opposite of glamorous or artsy. It’s messy, noisy, and sometimes a little chaotic. And honestly, that’s okay. It’s all part of the process.
Over the past four months, I’ve been caught up in a whirlwind of activity. There have been product redesigns, tight production deadlines, watercolour paintings, preparing for trade shows, and creating content for Instagram. It’s been busy, busy, busy.
Last week was a bit of a break — a chance to breathe and catch up. And now, I find myself asking, “What’s next?” I’m in a phase of building and growing, which means some days feel a little unproductive. I might be scribbling notes frantically, sipping lots of tea, or just watching the washing dry on the line while trying to identify every bird call I hear.
It’s all part of the creative journey. Sometimes, the quiet, unglamorous days are just what you need to keep moving forward. So, if your days look a little messy or unplanned, remember — that’s all part of the process.
